The cemetery at Chapel of the Chimes
in Hayward has been operating continuously since 1872.
We have matured as the East Bay’s diverse cultural
community has matured, and we take pride in
providing rituals that satisfy the various religious, cultural
and affiliation needs that our clients
bring to us. Today, we offer our client families a range
of interment and cremation choices on 61
flatland and hillside acres.
Traditional
in-ground burial options range from beautiful estates
suitable for families, to single plots located both
on flat ground and on hillside locations with views
of the Bay.
For
families who prefer above-ground entombment, we offer
indoor and outdoor
mausoleums—perhaps the most beautiful and unique of which is the Circle
of Peace, the only round mausoleum in California.
We
are a full-service cremation facility—with a
crematory, columbaria and outdoor areas dedicated exclusively
to the placement and scattering of remains. Please
contact a counselor for more information about the
options available to you.
Our funeral home,
remodeled in October 1977, currently serves over
1150 families each year and is the largest in Alameda
County.
